Tummy Tucks (Abdominoplasties): Case B1

This patient in her late 40’s had an abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck” in Saint Louis at West County Plastic Surgeons. She had a hip to hip incision and plication of rectus diastasis in exchange for being able to smooth out the abdomen.  This means that in addition to removing extra skin the abdominal muscles were sewn back together to their more natural, tighter position, as they were when she was younger.


Tummy Tucks (Abdominoplasties): Case B2

This patient in her early 30’s had an extended abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck” in Saint Louis at West County Plastic Surgeons.  She had a hip to hip incision with no plicating of the rectus diastasis.  This means that the abdominal muscles were not sewn back together because had a desire to have more children but with a better contour.

This patient in her late 40’s had an abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck” in Saint Louis at West County Plastic Surgeons.  She had a hip to hip incision and plication of rectus diastasis in exchange for being able to create an internal girdle effect.  This means that in addition to removing extra skin the abdominal muscles were sewn back together to their more natural, tighter position, as they were when she was younger. She also had bilateral liposuction of the flanks.

She had maintained a massive amount of weight loss after childbearing and was looking to improve the double bubble of fat in the trunk area along with a better contour.

She had maintained a massive amount of weight loss through diet and exercise alone over the last 10 years and was looking to improve her contour.

This patient in her mid 30’s had a standard abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck” in Saint Louis at West County Plastic Surgeons.  She had a hip to hip incision and also bilateral liposuction of the flanks.  She had weight loss through diet and exercise alone and was looking to improve her contour.

This patient in her mid 30’s had a standard abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck” in Saint Louis at West County Plastic Surgeons.  She had a hip to hip incision and plication of rectus abdominus in exchange for being able to smooth out the abdomen.  This means that in addition to removing extra skin the abdominal muscles were sewn back together to their more natural, tighter position.  Her main concern was to address the redundant skin and overhang of belly as much as possible.

Her main concern was not necessarily aesthetic, but following a hysterecotomy due to fibroids she still had a large pooch that made it difficult finding clothing because of the excess tissue.
