Collagen and other fillers: What are the different types of fillers?

There are many types of fillers with different properties.

Hyaluronic acids are very popular because of their softness and natural feel. Juvederm® and Retylane® are examples of this. They can be used almost anywhere in the face and last 6-12 months

Calcium hydroxyappetite or Radiesse® is a “larger-volume” filler that can be used in larger wrinkles and folds of the face. It can also be used for plumping up the cheeks and other areas of the face to add volume as we age.
