Dr. Alexandra Keane is a board-eligible, aesthetic surgery fellowship-trained plastic surgeon at WashU Medicine West County Plastic Surgeons, specializing in aesthetic breast surgery, facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, and implant-based breast reconstruction.

A Washington University–trained surgeon through and through, she completed her undergraduate degree, medical school, and integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at WashU Medicine before pursuing advanced subspecialty training in aesthetic surgery at a highly-competitive fellowship.

She has returned to St. Louis as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at WashU Medicine.

This fellowship emphasized nuanced clinical judgment and precise surgical execution in all aspects of aesthetic surgery.

Over the course of her fellowship, she gained hands-on experience across the breadth and depth of:

• Facial rejuvenation, including facelift, neck lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, fat grafting

Academic Background and Faculty Role

Dr. Keane graduated summa cum laude, with a double major in chemistry and biology with a concentration in neuroscience, from WashU Medicine.

She then earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from WashU Medicine, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and was elected by her peers as the AOA class president.

Dr. Keane then completed 6-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at WashU Medicine. She served as chief resident during her final year. She now serves as Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at WashU Medicine.

Research and Teaching
