Emily Weinhaus

Emily Weinhaus

Emily Weinhaus is West County Plastic Surgeons of Washington University's physician's assistant (PA). A PA is a licensed health professional who practices medicine under the supervision of a physician. Emily performs non-invasive cosmetic procedures, such as BOTOX® injections, fillers, laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal and spider vein treatments.

Emily was born and raised in St. Louis. She graduated with a biology degree from the University of Missouri and attended Saint Louis University's Physician Assistant Program. She has been a certified practicing physician assistant since 2004. As an athlete who had multiple knee surgeries at a young age, Emily always had a passion for medicine. After finding out more about the PA profession, she felt it was the best of both worlds between being a physician and a nurse.

My career allows me to help people by providing education, support and medical care," she says. "Whether it's through a change in a skin-care or a minimally invasive procedure, what is most gratifying is seeing a patient who is happy with his or her results. It's rewarding when helping someone improve their physical appearance also helps his or her confidence and sense of self. – Emily Weinhaus, PA
