Breast Reconstruction and Breast Implant Revision Surgery

I was treated for breast cancer, and Dr. Terry Myckatyn was the recommended plastic surgeon. My first visit was in 2004, and I had a revision to replace my subpectoral saline implants with silicone SRX Allergan implants placed pectorally in 2016. Surgery was scheduled for three weeks after my consultation. Dr. Myckatyn clearly explained the procedure, and the staff took care of my insurance needs. Everyone at the hospital introduced themselves and asked if there were any questions. As for results, I am thrilled. The discomfort from my previous implants is eliminated, and the swelling is gone. The implants feel very natural. I am much happier and able to work with no discomfort. Recovery took about three months, but I was able to return to work after two and a half weeks. I tell my friends I had an awesome recovery from cancer by finding doctors I trust and that are easy to talk to and a welltrained staff that has the answers to medical and insurance questions, so the experience is relatively stress free.
