Bilateral Mastectomy with Latissimus Flap Reconstruction
Dr. Julie Margenthaler, my breast surgeon, referred me for a latissimus flap with tissue expanders and implants due to my previous radiation and lumpectomy. My consultation was February 2017, with the surgery March 9, 2017, tissue expanders and fills until July, and implants received on July 22, 2017. The staff was very accommodating and walked me through each step. I am happy! I look like nothing ever happened. With my mastectomy, I have not had my cancer return. I would recommend West County Plastic Surgeons to friends because of the warm staff and peaceful environment. Dr. Myckatyn is great, with a great bedside manner and very knowledgeable.
