What is the difference between BOTOX® and Dysport®?
They are both botulinum toxin serotype A. They work in a very similar manner. They are made by competing companies and are formulated slightly differently, which means that the number of “units” used varies greatly. However, the cost to treat each area is roughly equal. Some patients think that one has a quicker onset of action, and others feel that one or the other may last longer. However, this varies from patient to patient.
