Combining CoolSculpting® with CoolTone™

Body-contouring treatments can help patients to get the physique they’ve always wanted by allowing for the “fine-tuning” of areas resistant to change via exercise, a healthy lifestyle, and a balanced diet alone. If you feel like you’re working out all the time but are still frustrated at a failure to achieve your desired sculpted look—whether it be a V-shaped torso for men or the slim hourglass figure many women hope for—fat freezing is our St. Louis team’s go-to option. In addition to CoolSculpting®, we also provide CoolTone, which stimulates muscle activity to build definition.

Best of all? These treatments can be combined to maximize their results in a way not possible when either is used on its own.

CoolSculpting® and CoolTone are both nonsurgical treatments that don’t require any recovery time. Despite both being made by Allergan and having similar sounding names, the two body-sculpting strategies actually work differently for different purposes.

Due to genetics, gender, hormones, and other variables, our bodies resolutely store fat in certain areas—which means that we typically continue to maintain our same body shape, just in a smaller size, after losing a few pounds.

CoolSculpting® is a technique that involves freezing and killing fat cells in localized areas so that the body metabolizes them and flushes them out. It’s ideal for reducing small problem areas of pinchable, soft fat on the stomach, flanks, thighs, below the chin, and on the upper arms—all of which can notoriously resistant to exercise.

Muscles are also an important aspect of building the body of your dreams, and having a strong core and back can also improve your posture. Many people spend hours at the gym, but are unable to get the signature “cut” look and visibly defined muscles they want. Some people struggle with putting on muscle mass because of their natural body shape. Using Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS), CoolTonetones and strengthens the underlying muscles of the abs, thighs, and butt. The device works by triggering an intense number of involuntary contractions in the targeted muscles, essentially causing them to undergo a workout session that would be impossible otherwise. The result is bigger, better-defined muscles.

CoolSculpting® and CoolTone can be performed on the same day. CoolTone administered after a CoolSculpting® session can speed up the fat removal process, and CoolSculpting® removes some of the subcutaneous fat so that the newly shaped muscles are even more noticeable.
